How you create impact

The Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the warehousing and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

  • Supervise and ensure the coordination of productivity across the warehouse to maximize performance and meet or exceed established KPI’s utilizing internal tools such as hourly production boards.

  • Review warehouse functions and various warehouse productivity reporting and make suggestions regarding efficiency ideas or cost reduction measures.

  • Ensure positive employee relations through regular department meetings, open and clear communication, and follow through concerning employee questions or concerns.

  • Facilitate the positive implementation of changes within the warehouse.

  • Monitor, coach, and mentor employees on performance and behavior to ensure conformance with Kuehne+Nagel policy and request and issue corrective actions while maintaining a professional relationship with all employees.

  • Organizes efforts with QSHE to aid in training, conduct associate observations, update preferred work methods, and conduct accident investigations.

  • Routinely complete 5S audit and conduct routine safety walks to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Ensure accurate and objective information when conducting staff selections, development, performance reviews, and/or terminations.

  • Ensure that work schedules are correctly processed and implemented as well as that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.

  • Review and process paid time off requests in a fair, accurate, and timely manner.

  • Manage labor hours in accordance with local, state, and federal labor laws as well as Kuehne+Nagel Policy.

  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and follows OSHA, MSDS, and Kuehne+Nagel QSHE standards.

  • Provide customer value by resolving warehouse related issues at or above the customers’ expectations.

  • Interpret and enforce company policy in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.

  • Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.

What we would like you to bring

  • 3+ years experience in a high volume, fast paced distribution center/warehouse environment

  • 1+ years of leadership experience in a high volume, fast-paced distribution center/warehouse environment

  • Must have working knowledge of (WMS) Warehouse Management System technologies

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook)

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
