Opportunities for Otsego, Inc. Toddler Classroom Teacher I: Early Head Start in Oneonta, New York
Toddler Classroom Teacher I: Early Head Start Head Start (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/home-based-and-preschool-programs) is seeking a creative, organized individual to join our teaching team in meeting the physical, cognitive, and social/emotional needs of toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start center-based program. As a Classroom Teacher I you will:
Work with the Classroom Teacher II to develop, coordinate, and implement daily lesson plans, classroom activities, and outreach events
Guide children as they learn new skills including feeding, toileting, and self-care
Foster a welcoming and safe learning environment that promotes safe exploration for children and encourages parents to be active participants in their child’s education
Assist in supervision of classroom teaching staff, volunteers, and support management in ensuring compliance with day care licensing and Head Start Performance Standards
This is a year-round position.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or a related field with a focus on infant and toddler development; one year of experience in an early childhood program; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
