Green Empire Farms Agricultural Worker in Oneida, New York

50 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 05/25/2026 - 08/06/2026.

Crops/Commodities: strawberries. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): This job requires a minimum of three months of verifiable agricultural employment experience, preferably on a vegetable farm. Applicants must be able to furnish verifiable job reference(s) or comparable third party documentation from recent employer(s) establishing acceptable prior experience. Workers will be expected to perform manual jobs as well as equipment operation with accuracy and efficiency beginning with planting through harvest.

Jobs offered are working in a hydroponic greenhouse facility and strawberry field, planting, cultivating, harvesting strawberries and greenhouse cleanout activities. -

Propagation Activities Activities required for seasonal repairs, not limited to, ground fabric Set up and teardown of field, including irrigation equipment oStorage of tarps, pallets, machinery oCleaning of canteen oActivities to make repairs to tarps/drainage systems oInstalling/removing Row tags Operation of fuel/battery/electricity powered equipment: oTractor, Forklift, Trimmers, Kubota, Weed whacking, Blowers Outdoor Planting operations include: oRunning dirt machine Using forklift/Kubota to transport pallets (Plants/dirt/Etc) oTransporting and placing pots oStriking and Cutting Tips Cutting tips from mother plants and packing into crates, paying strict attention to outlined quality standards Requires extended standing, stooping, bending or sitting for periods of time, and lift lowering of crates, the use of sharp knives/scissors/cutting utensil. Striking tips into dirt filled trays, paying strict attention to outlined quality standards Requires extended standing, stooping, bending or sitting for periods of time, and lift lowering of crates. OCrop Care activities include but not limited to: Pruning Plucking/Packing Deleafing Trimming Runners Blackout tarping Distributing BIOS

Proper use of gloves, hairnets, smocks, shoe covers, hand sanitizers, foot baths and clippers is required. All food safety activities will also fall under the responsibility of this job order both inside and outside the greenhouse to ensure adherence to SQF rules and regulations as well as our strict integrated pest management program and all COVID-19 protocols. Other general agricultural labor duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Workers will be working under the direction of the Labor Manager, Head Grower, Crop Supervisor or an experienced Group Leader.

Workers will receive training on employer's policies with which they must comply including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, and Food and Health safety standards and guidelines, FMLA and worker's compensation leave policies and other standard operating procedures, around the time work commences.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 months of experience.
  • Must lift/bend/twist/carry up to 30 lbs.
  • exposure to extreme Temperatures.
  • Workers need to have no fear of bees and be non-allergic to bee stings.
  • Post-hire employer-paid drug testing and background check required.
