Pay: Up to $40 per hour, based on experience, education, and licensure

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Registered Nurse (RN) to support students across a school district in the Omaha community. This dynamic, full-time role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values flexibility, and is passionate about promoting student health, safety, and well-being.
Position Overview
The School RN oversees the application of the nursing process and delivers high-quality student care within the school setting. This role supports the physical, mental, and emotional health of students while ensuring compliance with physician orders, professional standards, and organizational policies. As a floating nurse, you will serve multiple school sites and act as a vital liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders and care plans
Respond to medical emergencies and ensure student safety
Manage chronic health conditions and administer medications as required
Promote student wellness through health education and preventive care
Collaborate with families, school staff, administrators, and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all professional and regulatory standards
Deliver services in alignment with Amergis’ philosophy, policies, and standards
Minimum Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Bachelor’s degree preferred
School Nurse Certification, as required by state or contract
One (1) year of school nursing, public health, or pediatric experience preferred
Current CPR certification, if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable
Current health certificate, per state regulation or contract
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional Details
This is a district-wide floating position
Candidates must be willing and able to travel throughout the Omaha community
