CBRE OSP/ISP Construction Project Manager-Owner's Representative in Omaha, Nebraska
About the role
As a CBRE Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing consulting
services to an assigned market or client account to help achieve the company's strategic
business objectives. This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.
This person is responsible for all Fiber, Network and Security related projects at the site where
they will be assigned. This will include but not be limited to expansions, modifications, retrofits and “new” technology driven projects!
Location: This role is on site in Omaha, NE area.
What you’ll do
● Lead Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plan (ISP) fiber optic and telecommunication areas of
project management for hyperscale data center projects. This includes planning, design,
construction, occupancy, and closeout.
● Lead Cost / Change Control, including change order review, negotiation, and
recommendations, delay analysis.
● Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the projects. This includes the scope of
work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule &
turning points, quality control, and risk identification.
● Lead the engineering/design firm to develop the design and construction documentation
● Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification
process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend
resources to clients.
● Work with the general contractor to build and establish the Master Schedule, based on the
Critical Path and key milestones.
● Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client
requirements.
● Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
● Direct the team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
● Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Supervise the progress of
each project and report status and variances.
● Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement
action plans in order to reduce or eliminate project risks.
● Apply knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex
assignments and provide solutions.
● Mentor and share in-depth knowledge of your own job team and broad understanding of
several job subject areas within the function.
● Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
● Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and
other related teams.
● Work within broad guidelines and policies.
● Explain difficult or sensitive information.
● Handle punch list, meaningful completion and final completion process negotiate, resolve and
close out any outstanding change orders, quality issues or disputes
● Process and track any final invoices, payment applications, retention payments, etc.
● Support contract negotiation, typically in concert with the client and legal counsel,
● Track and follow up on permitting status
● Request and review due diligence checklist and run review meetings
What you’ll need
● Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a
a combination of experience and education will be considered. PMP, and/or CCM designation(s)
preferred.
● Experience with data center infrastructure projects or mission critical projects is preferred.
● Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
● Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
● Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar. Advanced experience with crafting
presentations (Google Preso and Microsoft PowerPoint) and scheduling Hangouts video
conferencing. Experience in databases and collaboration portals (Microsoft SharePoint
and Excel, Google Sheets).
● Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
● Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
● Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages,
fractions, and other financial-related calculations

MA Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for this position is $45,000.00 - $50,000.00. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
