Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead small to medium-sized projects with medium complexity. You will be responsible for developing procedures, providing training on new processes, tools, and equipment, and defining Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements along with mechanical evaluations.
Responsibilities
Successfully complete small to medium-sized projects with medium complexity.
Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment.
Define Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements.
Conduct mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment as needed.
Generate concise project progress reports.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
4+ years of experience in manufacturing process improvement.
Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
Strong project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and automation.
Ability to design and implement tooling solutions.
Experience with mechanical engineering principles.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing facility of nearly 500,000 square feet. The facility specializes in manufacturing sheet metal for shelving units. The environment is somewhat noisy due to fabrication and manufacturing lines. Office spaces are located above the manufacturing floor, allowing easy access to production lines. The role primarily involves floor work alongside production support teams. Enjoy a flexible work schedule with a casual dress code in a laid-back atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
