Summary

Provide support to the facility including all office areas by applying advanced knowledge in services to support operation and maintenance of the facility. Participate in the development of the maintenance department and the facilitation of timely repair in addition to technical recommendations for process/equipment improvement. The Maintenance function includes service, troubleshooting, and repair for the production equipment, facilities, and office areas. Performance required in both preventative maintenance and general repair/service as required.

Work schedule: 2nd Shift- Monday through Friday 3:00PM to 11:15PM. Flexible schedule not available.

Essential Functions

  • Minimizes machine downtime by troubleshooting and resolving mechanical/ electrical issues using technical manuals, schematics, and advanced training.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; and monitoring compliance.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the Maintenance function. This includes an in-depth understanding of the materials required for maintaining each area and their general functions for logical scheduling purposes. Continually shares knowledge and information with others within the team to build overall production competency.
  • Detects malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with the Production Manager to diagnose problems or repair machines.

``` - Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. - Assists with set-ups on new machines, including molding machines, and robots. - Ability to operate machine tools, including lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machines. - Ability to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.

``` - Conducts required training in the Maintenance area in accordance with the Maintenance progression process for machine technicians. This includes, but is not limited to participating in safety orientation, basic skills training, and machine set up procedures. - Continues to learn and develop guidelines for the progression of new and existing automated equipment. Demonstrates a desire to continuously improve and learn new skills that add value to the maintenance process.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Vocational training, certification, and/or a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in electrical, electronic, and mechanical skill areas are required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, servo drives.
  • Installing/troubleshooting PLCs programmable logic controllers.
  • Experience with industrial automation, including sensors, conveyance, pneumatic cylinders, HMIs, electric motors
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills (me hanical and electrical) required.
  • Ability to read and work from prints, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and troubleshoot from electrical and electronic, schematics and or diagrams

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a production manufacturing warehouse. May be required to wear common (PPE) Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, and Hearing Protection.

Up to 100% of the day could be performing duties including standing, walking, climbing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 100 lbs, and working with machinery and tools.
