Position Summary
Under general supervision, assists the Corporate Communications team in developing visual materials that support District-wide communications initiatives. Contributes to the design and production of digital and print publications, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality standards. Projects may include social media graphics, internal campaigns, newsletters, presentations, event materials and customer communications. Provides support as needed for employee and customer events.
Education
- Required - One (1) year of college completed with a study emphasis in graphic design, fine arts, visual communication or a related field. If a recent graduate, must be pursuing post graduate hours.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Testing
Required - Have and maintain a valid driver’s license Upon Hire
Required - Pre-employment Background Check & Drug Screen Upon Hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Fundamental knowledge of graphic design principles (layout, typography, color theory, composition)
Understanding of brand standards and visual identity systems.
Familiarity with digital and print production processes.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Familiarity with social media content design.
Basic photography and/or photo editing skills.
Strong visual communication skills.
Must be a self-starter.
Ability to translate concepts and messaging into effective visual designs.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback.
Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external customers, co-workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Time management and ability to meet deadlines. (Entry proficiency)
Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency with personal computers, tablets, and/or other electronic devices to include familiarity with, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and enterprise wide software (e.g., SAP). (Intermediate proficiency)
Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software as required.
Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external customers, co-workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation.
Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
Essential Functions
Create materials (design and limited writing) for District communications, including website, presentations, brochures, digital graphics, signage, social media, etc.
Provide planning support for employee events, including design, promotion and execution.
Provide support to other members of the Corporate Communications and Business Development teams, as directed.
Support layout and formatting of internal and external publications.
Create visual assets that align with established brand standards.
Provide support for events as needed.
Various administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, mailings, department inventory, etc.
