Cribl Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our mission to unlock the value of all observability data. Cribl provides users a new level of observability, intelligence and control over their real-time data. You will join a team of Engineers who are committed to shipping only high-quality software and enjoying all the goat gifs the internet has to offer. This role is remote and you will be part of the Engineering productivity team, where you will contribute to our goal of building the best Engineering toolchain in existence.

Our Engineering Productivity team sits within the Infrastructure and SRE org, whose charter is to deliver robust, reliable, and secure services to ensure Cribl Engineering & customer success.

As a technical leader on our team, you will...

  • Chart the future of Cribl's engineering tools, systems and practices.

  • Conceptualize and direct the evolution of our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) metrics, capabilities and processes based on the state of the art and industry best practices.

  • Build a deep understanding of our engineering culture, tools and practices. Identify what works and what needs improvement.

  • Engage with engineers to understand their needs, concerns and desires. Improve the overall development experience, reduce friction, remove bottlenecks and assure quality, security and reliability across the entire SDLC.

  • Strategize on effectively integrating AI into our SDLC, ensuring clear business value, benefit to engineers, and return on investment.
