Senior Tulip Engineer
About the role
As a Senior Tulip Engineer, you will make an impact by developing and configuring Tulip applications to support manufacturing and lab operations in a product development environment. You will be a valued member of our digital manufacturing team and work collaboratively with customer stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital workflow solutions.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and configure Tulip MES platform applications tailored to manufacturing and lab operations in pharma/life sciences environments.
• Work independently and guide customers on critical design decisions, leveraging a strong understanding of shop floor processes and digital workflow design.
• Collaborate directly with customer stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful delivery.
• Partner with project managers on work estimation, delivery planning, and reporting project progress through management reports as needed.
• Contribute internally to competency building, reusable accelerator tools, training initiatives, and team development.

What you need to have to be considered
• Hands-on experience with the Tulip MES platform, including application configuration and development.
• Experience working in pharma or life sciences manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of shop floor processes and digital workflow design.
• Ability to independently manage work and guide customers on critical design decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.
• Experience estimating and planning development work in collaboration with project managers.
These will help you stand out
• Experience preparing management-level project progress reports.
• Track record of contributing to internal competency building, reusable tools, or training programs.
• Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) beyond Tulip.
• Background in digital transformation initiatives within regulated industries.
Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until May 8, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $93,000- $109,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
