POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Data Analytics and Work Queue Analyst serves as the enterprise authority for revenue cycle Epic dashboards, slicer dicer report data analytics, and work queue (WQ) performance across UW Medicine. This role is responsible for transforming complex operational and system data into actionable insights that inform leadership decision-making, support process improvement planning, and proactively identify financial and operational risk with recommendations and expectations to deploy solutions.

The Analyst provides advanced analytics, performance monitoring, dashboard development, dashboard operationalization, slicer dicer development and enterprise work queue strategy to improve outcomes, optimize throughput, identify system and workflow improvement opportunities, strategize opportunities and develop plans to reduce downstream denials. This role partners with operational leaders, Business Systems Analysts, Quality Analysts, Training teams, and Information Technology Services (ITS) to evaluate system and workflow changes, assess performance impact, and guide enterprise revenue cycle strategy through data-driven insight.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Business Systems Integration Quality and Training group is responsible for ongoing support, Epic system tool development and maintenance of the system infrastructure of Patient Access applications, along with the in-depth research of financial data, data analytics for use in making program and system decisions or recommendation and implementation of new processes, systems, programs, services and applications tools that are used to support and further the mission of patient care, research and teaching.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the enterprise authority for UW Medicine Revenue Cycle Epic dashboards, Epic Slicer Dicer report data analytics, and Epic work queue (WQ) performance across UW Medicine.

  • This role is responsible for transforming complex operational and Epic system data into actionable insights that inform leadership decision-making, support process improvement planning, and proactively identify financial and operational risk.

  • The role leads the development, with operational leaders, to provide advanced analytics, performance monitoring, Epic dashboard development & operationalization, Epic Slicer Dicer development and enterprise Epic work queue strategy to improve outcomes, optimize throughput, identify system and workflow improvement opportunities, strategize opportunities, meet regulatory compliance, and develop plans to reduce downstream denials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in revenue cycle analytics, business systems analysis, or healthcare operations.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and interpreting complex data sets, dashboards, and performance metrics.

  • Working knowledge of Epic revenue cycle and patient access workflows sufficient to analyze performance and operational impact.

  • Proven ability to translate analytics into actionable recommendations for leadership.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements

$96,960.00 annual

$145,428.00 annual
