Ralliant Director, Technical Product Management — Software Platforms in Olympia, Washington
The Director of Technical Product Management owns the roadmap, prioritization, and developer experience for Ralliant’s shared software platform, which serves as the foundation for its portfolio of operating companies. This role is central to Ralliant’s platform strategy — defining which common platform services get built, driving adoption across operating companies, and advancing AI-first software delivery practices that accelerate time-to-market and reduce cost-to-deliver across the portfolio. The role reports to the Chief Software Platform Officer and partners closely with the Director of Platform Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Own and maintain the platform services roadmap, translating operating company needs and architectural standards into a strategic sequencing of platform capabilities.
Serve as the primary product interface between the platform team and operating company engineering and product leaders, managing competing priorities across multiple business units.
Build and run the agile planning process by which operating companies request platform capabilities, ensuring requests are prioritized consistently against the roadmap and strategic priorities.
Own the developer experience end-to-end: documentation, API references, getting-started guides, onboarding programs, developer relations, and feedback loops that drive platform adoption and surface unmet needs back to the platform engineering team.
Define and track platform success metrics that quantify the value the platform delivers to operating companies and the business.
Qualifications:
15+ years in product management, with at least 8 years focused on platform, infrastructure, or developer tools products and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated experience serving multiple business units or product lines from a shared platform, with a track record of navigating multi-stakeholder prioritization.
Proven ownership of developer experience and adoption programs — documentation, developer relations, onboarding — with measurable adoption outcomes.
Strong technical fluency; able to engage meaningfully with engineers on API design, system architecture, and infrastructure decisions.
Experience with AI-assisted software delivery practices and an understanding of how they accelerate product development workflows.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries — from executive presentations to engineering working sessions to operating company stakeholder alignment.
