Job Description Summary
As part of the end-to-end logistics process and organization, the Inventory Team is responsible for
assuring inventory accuracy by reconciling EMEA inventory between SAP S/4 Hana and Manhattan WMS. This includes conducting inventory variances analysis, problem solving, reporting and documentation, aligned with the quality, safety and security guidelines.
assuring the planning and administrative handling of the daily inventory related actions in the warehouse.
investigation of claims
The team leader is also responsible for follow-up and reporting on Inventory KPI's, training and coaching of the inventory team, and efficient communication with stakeholders.
The EDC Team Leader Inventory reports to the Operations Manager
Job Description
Organization of the day-to-day operational inventory workload
Planning and Prioritization
Administrative handling
eg. cycle counts, recall tasks, overflow mgmt.
Inventory analysis & problem solving
Generation and analysis of inventory reconciliation report
Proper and timely processing/correcting for all overages, shortages and damage on inbound shipments, workflow errors and variances
Performing route cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence : drive continuous improvement
Request cycle count to verify OS&D (over , short & damage) for inbound/outbound discrepancies
Adjustments can include, but are not limited to customer returns, carrier returns, inbound damage, and receipt discrepancies
Reporting and documentation
Generate or complete requested reports
KPI ( Key Performance Indicator) reporting
Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all inventory adjustments
Documenting the above in standard operating procedures ( SOP) following the Good Documentation Practices ( GDP)
Effective collaboration & communication with key stakeholders in- and outside of the EDC inventory team
Effective collaboration in & outside the EDC inventory team in accordance with the BD WAY
Onboarding & training of colleagues
Act as a back-up within the team
Assurance of compliancy with quality ISO 13485 standards & requirements
Comply to QMS (Quality Management System) requirements
Provide assistance in updating processes / SOP – Standard Operating procedures following Good Documentation Practices
Provide assistance in audits
Assure safety & security
Actively promote a safe work environment
Assure requested tasks are carried out in a safe manner
Immediate reporting of near misses, injuries, accidents or any unsafe situations
Respect Hazmat requirements
Required Competencies & background
Good collaboration & communication skills
Proven Insight / experience in inventory management and reconciliation
Strong analytical skills
Proficient knowledge of Excel + good knowledge of other Microsoft office applications ( Outlook, Word, Power point)
System savviness –knowledge of SAP S4 Hana / Manhattan is a strong plus
Continuous improvement mindset
Good insight in end to end logistics processes
Good balance of acting both agile / profound
Ability to work against deadlines
Ability to train, evaluate and coach team members and operators
Personal values need to be aligned with the company culture
Ability to work in the operational window for the EDC
