Job Description

We offer an exciting opportunity to join a team working with state-of-the-art technology in a dynamic production environment. The role involves troubleshooting electronic components at the board level, utilizing schematic diagrams to isolate failures on both analog and digital circuitry. You will be responsible for setting up test apparatus, conducting tests of electronic circuit card assemblies, and laying out and assembling units for production according to designs and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot to the component (board) level.

  • Utilize schematic diagrams to isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry.

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of electronic circuit card assemblies.

  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.

  • Adjust and calibrate systems as required.

  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.

  • Use hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices.

  • Determine types of tests to be performed and approve or suggest modifications to testing equipment.

  • Analyze test results to evaluate the performance of products and equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 4 years of direct experience in electronics troubleshooting.

  • Proficient in component level troubleshooting of solid state, digital, and RF circuits.

  • Strong knowledge of solid state devices and micro-circuitry.

  • Experience using automated test equipment.

  • Proficient in the use of various measurement devices including Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and RF Power Meters.

  • RF testing experience.

  • Familiarity with radar systems.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, power analyzers, waveform generators, Teradyne, Labview, Flying Probe, SPEA, and Takaya.

  • Experience in flying probe/high power test.

  • Experience in using power analysis software.

Work Environment

The work environment is a huge, climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Oldsmar that emphasizes safety and regulation. Employees benefit from their own workstations in a well-spaced area. The work schedule offers flexibility with a first shift from 5am to 3:30pm, and a second shift from 3:30pm to 2am, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLDSMAR, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
