Actalent Framing Superintendent in Old Bridge, New Jersey
We are seeking a hands-on Superintendent to oversee residential rough framing operations for new construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of supervisory experience in the field who can manage crews, maintain production goals, and ensure framing work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day jobsite leadership, coordinating manpower and materials, and keeping framing operations moving efficiently from layout through dry-in.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise rough framing crews on residential new construction sites (single-family and/or multi-family)
Manage daily production targets and manpower planning
Verify layout, wall/roof framing, joists, trusses, sheathing, and hardware installation
Coordinate framing inspections and ensure work is code-compliant and inspection-ready
Read and interpret plans, details, and framing schedules
Communicate with builders/GCs, site supers, and trades to sequence work (foundation, trusses, MEP rough-ins, etc.)
Maintain material flow: takeoffs/basic counts, coordinate deliveries, prevent shortages and downtime
Ensure quality control: plumb/level/square, nailing patterns, blocking, hangers, connectors, and structural details
Enforce jobsite safety standards and keep a clean, organized work area
Track progress, daily reporting, punch items, and corrective work as needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity (Foreman, Lead, or Superintendent) in wood rough framing
Strong understanding of:
Layout and plan reading
Wall/roof systems, trusses, rafters, floor systems
Sheathing, fasteners, and framing hardware (hangers, straps, anchors, hold-downs)
Ability to manage crews and keep pace with schedule demands
Knowledge of residential building codes and inspection processes (framing, shear, straps/tie-downs, etc.)
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to local job sites
OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Old Bridge, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
