Garmin Senior Business Analyst (Content Management Systems) in Olathe, Kansas
Overview
We are seeking a full-time Senior Business Analyst Internet at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and effectively communicating user requirements for large to very large size projects of high complexity for products across multiple strategic channels, with multiple disparate stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Serve as functional Product Owner, working with enterprise stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes
Work closely with cross-functional project teams and multiple stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and deliverables are aligned with long-term, enterprise objectives as well as project objectives
Partner with enterprise stakeholders to determine strategic channels roadmap
Understand and communicate business impact of issues and how they relate to IT owned solutions
Manage development and documentation of requirements from multiple global Garmin Product Managers using use cases, scenarios, complex and perhaps conflicting business workflow analyses
Identify interdependencies between projects and overall business strategies and facilitate aligning them to benefit Garmin
Collaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members, business clients and QA teams to define test cases and assist with testing efforts
Manage acceptance testing by end users to ensure appropriate standards are met and successful deployment validation is completed
Proactively identify and contribute to the resolution of ancillary discrepancies and conflicts between interdepartmental applications and strategic channels on an enterprise level
Manage reconciliation and drive consensus regarding business tactical and strategic direction
Actively implement continuous improvement on an enterprise level for business processes and IT business analysis processes
Seen as the go-to subject matter expert for application/technology solution and related business processes within the enterprise.
Make substantial contributions to determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives
Understands business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT owned solutions
Provides reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems including evaluation of new technologies to improve existing functions
Serves as a mentor to less experienced Business Analysts (Business Analyst 1 & 2)

Identify interdependencies between projects and overall business strategies and facilitate aligning them to benefit Garmin
Work with language services and country business units to ensure translations are correct
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Experience developing long-term product roadmaps that align with team and company vision
Ability to balance short-term sprint goals with longer-term strategic goals.
Demonstrated mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements which meet business needs
Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise
Superior analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Understand the importance of change and consistently viewing change as opportunity
Demonstrates proficiency and in-depth understanding of internet technologies
Extensive experience in working within Agile project methodology
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners Participates in continuing business analysis education courses
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of competency
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management systems (DAM), Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), etc., and how to optimize and streamline their usage.
Certifications: PMI-PBA, CBAP, scrummaster
Continuing education courses in business analysis
Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training
Knowledge and experience with bug tracking tools and project management tools
Knowledge of conceptual web application architecture and human factors in UX design
Experience with multivariant testing
International communications experience
