You will report directly to our Engineering Site Leader and you will work ONSITE of our Olathe, KS location.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, analyze, and implement avionics system solutions that meet performance, safety, and certification requirements.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, systems, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Author, maintain, and manage high‑level system requirements using IBM DOORS.
• Perform system‑level analysis, modeling, and trade studies to optimize performance and architecture.
• Execute systems integration, validation, and verification activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Apply model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
• Capture, decompose, and manage system requirements in alignment with stakeholder needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, certification, environmental, reliability, and performance standards. Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and project planning activities.
• Provide project coordination and support budget/schedule tracking in partnership with the Project Engineer.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform system design decisions.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership.
Experience in systems integration, System Testing, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools, with experience in avionics systems.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to avionics technology.
WE VALUE
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with Aerospace regulatory standards DO-178 and DO-254.
Experience in leading complex avionics system integration projects.
Experience with model based systems engineering (MBSE) methods or tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody).
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capability.
