Position:
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 75lbs
(possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants
must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Based on
Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide =
dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of
reporting to work and possess/maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole
discretion of the employer.
Job Description: Assist with general calving operations such as examining calves to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Help with vaccinations, branding of calves, and weaning of calves from cows to start their grain-based diet. Worker will be responsible for hauling manure to appropriate piles or fields, help with sorting cattle, loading/unloading cattle from trailers, prepare feed and mix in additives, check feed equipment, clean/maintain feed equipment, inspect water
sources/equipment, clean/maintain/repair water system, inspect livestock for illness and injuries, separate sick livestock from the herd, move sick/injured livestock to treatment area, administer medications/injury care or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment, administer vaccinations for new cattle, confine livestock to stalls, groom livestock, castrate livestock, weigh livestock, spray livestock with insecticide, inspect pens/stables, clean/disinfect pens/stables, remove old bedding, prepare new bedding, maintain livestock equipment, transport cattle to pastures, construct fencing for livestock, maintain windbreaks/fencing. Help with daily farming duties such as
helping with irrigation, repairing gaskets and piping for irrigation, removing piping from fields before harvesting of hay
and corn silage, spray weeds in fields, harvest, and stack hay, winterize farm and farm equipment, & other related
Livestock Worker/Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).
Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week: 40
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Anticipated Period of Employment: 2-15-26 to 12-15-26

Effective 1/1/25: Overtime must be paid after 48 hours/week, or 56 hours/week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers - (Include only for non-range positions).
