Job Duties

End Date: 12/31/2026

Work hours: 60 hours/week, Monday - Saturday, 10 hours/day, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Job Duties:

Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops depending on experience. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery such as changing fluids and fueling and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. General shop cleaning and maintenance on days not suitable for outdoor work. Clean work areas, grain bins, and maintain grounds and landscaping & other related Laborer/Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work. Variable weather conditions may apply.

Minimum Education Required

None. No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Must be 18 years of age.

Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.

Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work and possess/maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Minimum of 3 months experience required.

Must be able to lift at least 74 lbs.

Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.

Extensive pushing and pulling is required.

Extensive walking or sitting is required.

Frequent stooping or bending over is required.

Repetitive movements are required.

Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone.

Static strength: exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 74lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.

All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.

Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.

Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash.

Additional Compensation

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
