Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Oklahoma City, OK , is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the B-1 SEIT team . This role focuses on managing and executing project activities across B-1 programs, ensuring alignment with program objectives and business goals.
The ideal candidate will leverage strong technical and project management skills and apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to coordinate resources, track performance, and drive successful team execution across multiple programs.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will utilize strong communication skills to interface regularly with cross-functional teams, management, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, support organizational objectives, and drive successful project outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities (Required Skills/Experience):
Apply systems thinking to evaluate program interdependencies and assess how changes influence cost, schedule, and performance outcomes.
Gather, organize, and analyze technical, budgetary, and schedule data from multiple sources to monitor team performance against established baseline plans.
Prepare and present clear and concise briefings for internal and external stakeholders, covering program status, earned value metrics, change activities, recommended corrective actions, and other key performance indicators.
Support supplier performance monitoring and integration of cost and schedule data into program controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, management, customers, and suppliers to advance program objectives.
Identify, assess, and communicate risks, issues, and opportunities that affect budget, schedule, and overall program health.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on program tracking, reporting processes, and earned value management practices.
This position is 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and leadership
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools
Experience working with Configuration Management (CM) tools and processes.
Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of B-1 aircraft sub-systems.
Familiar with systems engineering and product lifecycle management.
Experience supporting aerospace or defense programs.
Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards and relevant MIL-STD requirements applicable to avionics systems.
Demonstrated ability to analyze budget and schedule data, develop performance metrics, and effectively present findings to leadership.
Experience applying project management methodologies, including project planning, performance monitoring, and risk and issue management.
Experience applying earned value management (EVM) principles to track and analyze program performance.
Ability to train and mentor team members on program tracking tools, processes, and best practices.

Summary pay range:
Associate Level $85,000 – $115,000
