Ingham County Medical Care facility Licensed Practical Nurse- 12 Hour Day Shift in Okemos, Michigan
GENERAL SUMMARY
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) serves as team leader for assigned group of CNAs and provides direct resident nursing care. Provides a safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care environment which ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights, and physical safety of each resident.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS):
Licensure Requirements: Active Michigan license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Education: Graduated of an approved practical nursing program.
Ability to recognize subtle changes in resident condition.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work effectively under time requirements and deadlines, problem-solve when facing unexpected issues, handle interruptions, and prioritize effectively.
Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous experience, in a rehabilitation or acute care setting is preferred but not required.
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, delegation, and leadership skills.
Time management and organizational skills.
