At Supportec in Oisterwijk – part of Permobil – we design and manufacture customized seating solutions and V-Tracks positioning products that make a real difference in people’s daily lives.
About the role
Oisterwijk is our European Center of Excellence for Seating & Positioning, and we are now looking for aProduction Managerto lead our production team and secure a safe, efficient and high-quality operation.
As Production Manager, you are responsible for all operational production activities at the Supportec site. You report to the Senior Director Operational Excellence and ensure that demand forecasts, capacity and resources are aligned so we deliver on time, with the right quality and at the right cost. You will report to the Senior Director Operational Excellence and work closely with operators, team leaders and colleagues in Operations, Quality and R&D/industrial engineering to secure stable flows and continuously improve how we work. You have around 20 direct reports, including team leaders and specialists, and overall responsibility for the production employees at the site.
You will have a key role in daily operations as well as in driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost. If you are a handson production manager with a strong lean mindset and a servant leadership style, this could be your next step.
Key responsibilities:
Secure safe, efficient and high-quality daily production at the site,
Plan and balance production capacity and staffing against demand,
Ensure that delivery performance and flexibility meet agreed targets,
Maintain and improve safety on the shop floor and handle QHSE issues when they occur,
Ensure that production processes follow the Quality Management System (QMS) and related procedures.
Drive continuous improvements using lean and flow production principles, with focus on waste reduction, productivity and lead times,
Coordinate maintenance of robots, machines, software and tools to secure high availability,
Support planning and implementation of investments and upgrades in production equipment,
Follow up production-related costs (e.g. labor, material handling, maintenance, scrap) and contribute to cost improvements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent experience,
5+ years’ experience in a leading role in production or manufacturing,
Experience in production setup and improvement work,
Experience working in a QMS-regulated environment,
Experience with basic financial follow-up of production (costs, efficiency, scrap, etc.),
Strong knowledge of production management and shop-floor processes,
Knowledge of flow production and lean principles,
Good communication skills in a production environment,
Comfortable working in an international company and cross-functional context.
