WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY LLC Reliability Engineer in OGDEN, Utah

About the role:

As a Reliability Engineer you will assess the quality, robustness, and capability of the process and the reliability of the equipment within the processes. Provide guidance in making decisions with others to modify production equipment. You will provide reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for equipment reliability and robustness.

 

You will report to the Senior Technical Services Manager and be located at Ogden, UT. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion for Design for Reliability and Maintainability and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis.

  • Provide reliability guidance for capital and improvement projects.

  • Review and establish preventive-predictive maintenance programs (lubrication, vibration, thermography, shock-pulse, motor current analysis) that improve equipment OEE and reduces maintenance downtime and costs.

  • Support shutdown planning, coordination, and oversight of maintenance and contractor activities,

  • Lead Kaizen events focused on improving equipment OEE.

  • Provide support for root cause failure analysis (RCFA, 5-Whys) for critical equipment failures, including physical failure analysis.

  • Provide appropriate KPIs to area and site such as: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Meant Time to Repair (MTTR), maintenance costs.

  • Perform failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans.

  • Determine critical spare parts and appropriate stocking levels.

  • Work with maintenance group to ensure appropriate inspection technologies are being used and assess quality of inspection plans. Revise and Implement test plans to ensure equipment tests are appropriate for application.

     

     

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

5 years' experience in predictive and preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and mechanical integrity best practices in a manufacturing facility, chemical plant or industrial facility.

Organizational capability to work in multiple production areas and processes.

Lead multiple improvement teams in the production areas and maintain a connection to technical organizations such as the Process and Plant Engineering and Process Safety.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
