Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4/10s)

Pay Rate: Starting at $39.63/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading force in the aviation and defense industry to hire a Material Management & Purchasing Specialist supporting the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program . In this mission-critical role, you’ll ensure the seamless flow of materials, procurement accuracy, and compliance across the Little Mountain Test Facility.

Your work will directly impact national defense readiness—ensuring the right materials are in place, at the right time, and fully compliant with strict regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary Purchase Card (P-Card) holder , managing and reconciling transactions in compliance with site and government policies

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities : requisitioning, sourcing, purchasing, expediting, and receiving

  • Review and approve purchase requests in alignment with waiver processes and procurement controls

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and financial reconciliation within ERP systems

  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and program teams to validate material requirements and delivery timelines

  • Manage vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and recommend sourcing improvements

  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS , safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Conduct audits, maintain documentation, and support readiness for internal and external reviews

  • Partner with Accounts Payable for invoice reconciliation and timely vendor payments

  • Train site personnel on procurement processes, P-Card usage, and compliance protocols

  • Support reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost and efficiency

  • Provide project coordination, reporting, and communication across stakeholders and leadership

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Experience with procurement under government contracts

  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with hazardous material documentation and handling

  • Strong data analysis, organization, and reporting skills

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across diverse teams

  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration

  • Knowledge of ICBM systems or defense programs

  • Familiarity with project management standards (PMI, PMBOK, ANSI, ISO, AFIs)

  • Experience working in complex, regulated environments

Pay Details: $39.63 per hour
