RARE OPPORTUNITY! We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Line Master Technician to join our team. The average tenure in our 5 Star Service Department is approx. 14 years, and there is a reason...our great people and how we treat them each day! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair, particularly with Diesel powertrains, and demonstrate exceptional mechanical knowledge. This role requires a commitment to providing outstanding customer service while ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance on vehicles. The Master Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing both hand tools and power tools, as well as computer diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, ensuring adherence to dealership standards.
- Align vehicles as needed, utilizing specialized equipment to ensure precision.
- Be able and willing to work in a team environment in close partnership with the Dealership Owners, Service Advisors and Service Manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with other technicians, GM engineers and the Service Dept. Manager to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies to enhance service quality.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools specific to automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle systems.
- Experience working in a dealership environment would be a plus, but not required.
- 5 years of experience working on Diesel engines, including Diesel exhaust/emissions systems.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers
- Accurate and thorough communications with our Service Advisors, Service Manager, Dealership Owners, Sales and Sales Managers.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
