PETERSEN INCORPORATED Cybersecurity Engineer in OGDEN, Utah
Responsibilities • Implement and manage cybersecurity controls aligned with CMCS and other regulatory standards. • Monitor security alerts, investigate threats, and support incident response. • Conduct vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and risk analyses. • Maintain and optimize firewalls, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and access management tools. • Oversee and mentor a Cybersecurity Analyst, providing guidance, task direction, and performance support. • Prepare and maintain security documentation, including configurations and compliance evidence. • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure secure architecture and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. • 3--5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or security operations. • Direct experience within Nuclear, Aerospace, or Defense Manufacturing industries. • Handson knowledge of threat detection, mitigation, and industrystandard security tools. • Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications • Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC. • Experience supporting audits, regulatory inspections, or compliance programs in highsecurity sectors. • Prior experience supervising or mentoring cybersecurity staff.
