Additional Information About the Role
Progress West Hospital has an opening for a Part-Time Medical Staff Services Coordinator to join the team. This role will involve working with hospital Medical Staff services and Senior Leadership to ensure provider privileges are in line with providers training/experience. This role will also have responsibilities for Barnes-Jewish Hospital St. Peters.
Ideal candidates should be highly organized and be able to meet deadlines.
Monday-Friday, hybrid position with hours between 8a-5p.
Overview
Opened in 2007, Progress West Hospital is BJC HealthCare’s newest hospital in St. Charles County, featuring modern private rooms. It offers 24-hour emergency services and has partnered with St. Louis Children’s Hospital to provide world-class pediatric emergency care.
Progress West Hospital also provides surgical services, endoscopy services, a cardiac catheterization lab, medical/surgical inpatient services, diagnostic imaging, lab services, and the Advanced Wound Center, a specialty wound treatment facility with state-of-the-art equipment. Progress West Hospital recently completed an expansion of its Childbirth Center to include enhanced services for at-risk mothers and babies, with a newborn ICU that provides care for babies born as early as 32 weeks.
Progress West Hospital is a Certified Level II Stroke Center. The hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and orthopedics.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Coordinates the credentialing and privileging process of medical and allied health professional staff members.
Responsibilities
Coordinates and administers the credentialing and privileging process of medical staff members and allied health providers.
Prepares credentialing documents and reviews applications to ensure privileges requested meet requirements.
Administers and coordinates contract management, scheduling and billing programs.
Processes medical staff status changes.
Provides medical staff education and facilitates meetings with management as it relates to the medical staff and credentialing process.
