Robert Half Billing Clerk in Odessa, Texas
Description We are looking for a detailed-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Odessa, Texas, on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our accounting operations while collaborating with internal teams and external customers.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and submit invoices with precision to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor aging accounts, address discrepancies, and follow up on overdue invoices to facilitate timely collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts and make adjustments as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with internal departments and customers to resolve billing-related issues effectively.
• Maintain organized digital and physical records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and support other accounting tasks as required. Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable and billing, preferably within a mid-size or large organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced knowledge of its functions and tools.
• Familiarity with billing and accounting platforms such as Open Invoice, Open Ticket, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
• Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work on-site in Odessa, Texas.
• Knowledge of computerized billing systems and collection processes.
