Amergis Speech Language Pathologist - Schools in Odessa, Delaware

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based | In-Person Only

Position Type: Full-Time, Contract

Schedule: 37.5 hours/week

Start Date: August 25, 2026

Contract Length: 12–16 weeks (varies by assignment)

Work Setting: In-Person Only

About the Role

We are seeking School-Based Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support students by conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing direct therapy in accordance with student care plans and physician orders. These roles cover medical leave assignments for the 2026–2027 school year and require onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans

  • Provide direct treatment services to students

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families

  • Follow all professional, district, state, and federal practice standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Active SLP licensure in the state of assignment

  • CCC-SLP preferred (may be required by state or contract)

  • Knowledge of and adherence to professional practice standards

  • CPR certification, if applicable

  • TB screening, PPD, or chest X-ray, if required

  • Current health certificate, if required by state/contract

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must hold an out-of-state license and apply for Delaware reciprocity or already possess active DE licensure

  • CF candidates will not be considered

Assignment Options (2026–2027 School Year)

All assignments require in-person presence.

  1. Preschool SLP
  • Ages 3–4 years

  • Dates: Aug 25, 2026 – Oct 16, 2026

  • In-person only

  1. Kindergarten SLP (Autism-focused)
  • Primarily Autism caseload

  • Dates: Aug 25, 2026 – Nov 13, 2026
