Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – 2026–2027 School Year Medical Leave Coverage
Location: In-Person – Middletown, DE
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Contract Length: 12–16 weeks (depending on assignment)

Position Overview
Brandywine School District is seeking two in-person Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for medical leave coverage assignments during the 2026–2027 school year. These roles require onsite presence, and CF candidates will not be considered.
The SLP will conduct student evaluations, provide therapy services, and accurately document progress in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician orders.
Available Assignments
Preschool SLP – Ages 3–4
Dates: August 25, 2026 – October 16, 2026
Caseload: Preschool (early childhood)
Kindergarten SLP – Primarily Autism Caseload
Dates: August 25, 2026 – November 13, 2026
Caseload: Kindergarten students, autism-focused
Responsibilities
Perform evaluations and re-evaluations
Provide direct speech-language therapy
Document progress and maintain compliant records
Follow individualized student plans of care
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Adhere to state, local, and professional standards
Minimum Requirements
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
Must hold at least an out-of-state license and apply for Delaware reciprocity upon offer OR already hold active Delaware licensure
CCC-SLP preferred (may be required per state/contract)
Current CPR, TB clearance, and Health Certificate if required
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be 18 years or older
