As we continue to grow, we are looking for a strong Head of Accounting to lead and further develop our accounting function in a complex, international environment.
The Role
As Head of Accounting, you will have overall responsibility for the accounting function and financial compliance for Teradyne Robotics’ legal entities. In addition to leading the accounting team directly, you will have overall responsibility for the Controlling function, which is led on a day-to-day basis by a dedicated Controlling Manager.
You will act as a key finance leader in the organization, working closely with local management as well as global finance teams across Teradyne, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and U.S. GAAP reporting, transparency, and high-quality financial processes.
The role combines people leadership, hands-on accounting expertise, matrix leadership, and close collaboration with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under US GAAP and local statutory requirements
Direct leadership and development of the Accounting team, ensuring high quality, engagement, and continuous development
Overall functional responsibility for the Controlling team, with close collaboration and strategic dialogue with the Controlling Manager
Act as the accounting anchor for Teradyne Robotics’ legal entities, including responsibility for general ledger, accruals, reconciliations, and financial documentation
Ensure strong internal controls and U.S GAAP SOX compliance, including documentation, audit readiness, and interaction with internal and external auditors
Manage collaboration with external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities
Oversee statutory reporting, VAT, and local compliance, in close cooperation with global tax and finance functions
Serve as a key finance business partner to operations, supply chain, and management, ensuring finance processes support the business effectively
Drive process optimization and system improvements, including ERP initiatives and automation of accounting processes
Collaborate closely with global accounting, controlling, tax, and FP&A teams across Teradyne, contributing to global finance projects and ensuring alignment with group policies and standards
Your Profile
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
Big 4 audit experience is a plus
Significant experience from a senior accounting or finance leadership role in an international environment, preferably within manufacturing or technology
Proven people leadership experience, including experience working through other managers or in a matrix structure
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting, and internal controls (SOX experience is a strong advantage)
Structured, hands-on, and detail-oriented, while able to maintain a strategic overview
Comfortable operating in a global, matrix-organized company with many stakeholders
Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
