SENTRY EQUIPMENT CORP Design Engineer I Mechanical in OCONOMOWOC, Wisconsin

Under direction and utilizing established procedures, responsible for the creating and developing product designs using SolidWorks. Evaluate design feasibility and ensure products meet user needs, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability and applicable standards ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze new and existing products in the areas of design, function, reliability, and manufacturability. Prepare drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), Installation Operation and Maintenance Manuals, and technical documentation as required. Assess new applications/designs of products to determine feasibility of operation, manufacturing and application. Creation and refinement of mechanical parts and assembly drawings to capture design intent and adapt products to specific customer requirements and product applications. Communicate with other departments such as sales and marketing on the development of product modifications, new product development, and related marketing documents. Apply applicable ASME, NEMA, ATEX, ANSI, TEMA, CE, CRN or other codes and standards as required. Assist in the testing and debugging of assigned products in the shop. Maintain ongoing project requirements, schedules, and specifications for multiple projects in a deadline-based environment. Work with other departments to resolve issues with orders and/or equipment in the shop and execute Engineering Change processing to revise designs as necessary.
