Location: Ocala, FL
Pay: $18–$24 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM
Overtime: Available on Fridays
About the Company
This manufacturing company specializes in producing custom diesel fuel storage tanks, trailers, stairs, and platforms for the power generation industry. Products are designed for commercial and industrial applications and are typically sold through engine and generator distributors.
Tanks and trailers are fabricated from carbon steel
Stairs and platforms are fabricated from aluminum
All products are custom-built to project specifications
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a skilled fabrication team. This role focuses on welding structural steel to build large skid assemblies while working directly from blueprints and schematics. Some minor material prep and clean-up will also be required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on steel components
Weld structural steel for large skid assemblies
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Complete basic prep and clean-up of work materials
Maintain high standards for accuracy, quality, and safety
Weld Test Requirement
Candidates must successfully complete an in-person weld test during the interview process, which includes:
Welding 4x8 steel coupons in a T-joint (flat position)
Performing a vertical weld on the same material
MIG welding on steel
Final welds will be bend tested in a brake press to evaluate strength and integrity

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
