Aerotek Assembly Technician in Ocala, Florida
Job Description
The candidate will assemble and build large pumps used in firetrucks by following blueprints, schematics, and detailed procedures. They will use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, presses, assembly fixtures, test fixtures, and measuring/testing instruments. The candidate will document any defective products on logs and ensure proper installation, alignment, and testing of components.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Responsibilities
Perform basic mechanical assembly, fitting, and wiring to build sub‑assemblies and finished products.
Assemble products using blueprints, cross‑sections, detailed procedures, and standard mechanical practices.
Troubleshoot and repair components as needed.
Independently install components using sound mechanical judgment with limited instruction.
Use a variety of hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tools/equipment.
Read and follow torque values, measurements, and assembly procedures.
Report supply needs in a timely manner to maintain adequate inventory levels.
Report any safety or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
Install and inspect components by connecting, aligning, pressing, fitting, setting, and adjusting parts to meet required clearances and specifications.
Remove test components from pumps and transport products/equipment to designated areas.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail—detect, correct, and repair errors to ensure products pass inspection.
Clean and perform minor repairs on assembly equipment.
Maintain an organized, uncluttered, and safe work area at all times.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
