Insight Global Technical Data Warehouse Architect in Oaks, Pennsylvania

Job Description

This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise data warehouse solutions with a strong focus on Data Vault 2.0. The position owns end‑to‑end data modeling, including the implementation of Hubs, Links, Satellites, Raw Vault, Business Vault, and downstream Information/Data Marts to ensure scalability, auditability, and historization. Responsibilities include designing dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas), defining proper data grain and conformed dimensions, and translating business and technical requirements into maintainable data architectures. The role architects and optimizes ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Python, implementing metadata‑driven, reusable patterns that support incremental loads, CDC, and data quality validation. This position continuously monitors and improves data warehouse performance, conducts root‑cause analysis of defects and performance issues, and ensures production readiness across performance, stability, scalability, and reliability. The role works closely with Agile teams, communicates critical issues and status updates, mentors engineers on data warehousing and performance best practices, and contributes to ongoing improvements in enterprise application performance using strong application performance monitoring and optimization techniques.

Skills and Requirements

BA/BS in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience

10+ years in IT, including 10+ years in data warehousing, data engineering, and data architecture delivering enterprise‑scale platforms

Strong hands‑on experience with Data Vault 2.0 (Hubs, Links, Satellites), Raw Vault, Business Vault, and data marts

Solid dimensional modeling expertise (Kimball): star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension design, SCDs, and hybrid DW architectures

Proven ability to design scalable, auditable, historized data models for enterprise analytics

Extensive experience building and optimizing ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Python

Advanced data warehouse performance tuning and optimization, including Oracle DB

Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL development

Experience with Azure cloud architecture and optimization

Strong background in source control and DevOps tools (Git/GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence)

Expertise in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks; ability to lead optimization efforts is a plus

Experience with data analytics and visualization services

Familiarity with data archiving, purging, and lifecycle management

Effective collaborator with large, cross‑functional delivery teams in complex environments

Strong understanding of SAFe and servant leadership principles • Experience in wealth management, investment processing, domestic and international Equity and / or Fixed Income workflows and analytics

• Experience effectively interacting with large application development and delivery teams and application development managers who are providing full lifecycle application support in complex, heterogeneous environments

• Experience working with senior leadership, ability to work comfortably with a wide range of people and skill sets

• Data Vault 2.0 certification (e.g., Certified Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner – CDVP2 or Data Vault Alliance certification)

• Knowledge of core investment processing / wealth management transaction processing, trade flow, custody & accounting, cash processing, etc.
