As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP), you will assume the role of discipline lead on multiple projects. Your responsibilities will encompass HVAC system selection, engineering, and design, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead the HVAC system selection, engineering, and design processes.
Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, analysis, specifications, and calculations.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Oversee and mentor HVAC support staff to ensure project success.
Provide construction administration and conduct site observations related to your projects.
Deliver exemplary service to team members and clients, ensuring satisfaction and adherence to project requirements.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
7+ years of MEP/AEC design and consulting experience.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems in public safety, educational, and commercial sectors.
Thorough knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Proven ability to interact with clients during meetings or presentations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Professional Engineering License (preferred).
Accreditation in relevant certifications (preferred).
Working knowledge of IES-VE (preferred).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $85.00/hr.
