Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
What you'll do...
Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding. Knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
Assists with Fluoroscopic procedures
Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, and transfer images.
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

Job Requirements
Required
Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
Medical Radiographer registed in the state of North Dakota
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the state of North Dakota (ND)
Preferred
Radiologic Technologist experience in a Critical Access Hospital
CT experience or willing to train

Where You'll Work
CHI Oakes Hospital, is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14,000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007, replacing a 50-year old building, and in 2010, Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building. The hospital is part of a larger values-based organization, CommonSpirit Health.
