Job Title: Project Manager – Owner’s Representative (Corporate Interior Renovations)

Job Description

This Project Manager serves as a dedicated owner’s representative and trusted advisor throughout the full lifecycle of corporate interior renovation projects—from initial concept and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout. Acting as the project owner’s eyes and ears, this role provides a single point of coordination between the owner and all external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on scope, on budget, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on the owner’s side

  • Proven experience delivering corporate interior renovation projects

  • Background in commercial construction and construction management

  • Hands‑on project management and coordination experience in active construction environments

  • Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management tools

  • Strong understanding of RFIs and change orders and their impact on scope, cost, and schedule

  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with owners, designers, and contractors

  • High‑energy, proactive, solutions‑driven mindset

  • Ability to work onsite in Oak Brook, 5 days/week

Essential Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience acting as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on the owner’s side for construction projects.

  • Demonstrated experience with corporate interior renovation projects on the owner’s side.

  • Background in commercial construction and construction management.

  • Hands-on experience with project management, project coordination, and project engineering in a construction environment.

  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore or Bluebeam.

  • Ability to manage RFIs and change orders and understand their impact on project scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain effective relationships with owners, architects, contractors, engineers, and vendors.

  • High energy and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to project challenges.

  • Ability to work on site five days per week in Oak Brook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience delivering corporate interior projects on the owner’s side in occupied spaces is highly desirable.

  • Previous exposure to commercial construction environments and corporate interior build-outs.

  • Comfort working as an owner’s representative, serving as the primary liaison between the owner and all external project stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing documentation, schedules, and project communication.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite at the Lincoln Center corporate office complex in Oak Brook, supporting a high‑profile interior renovation in an active, professional office environment. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, engineers, general contractors, and vendors, using modern tools like Procore and Bluebeam to manage project information. The position is a 6‑month contract with the goal of extension into a longer‑term opportunity based on performance and project pipeline. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
