Job Summary
The Major Projects Analyst provides analytical, administrative, and coordination support for the multi-billion-dollar Extended Power Uprate (EPU) project, playing a key role in cost estimating, forecasting, performance reporting, and data management throughout the project lifecycle.
As a key interface to the Fleet Project Management Office (PMO), the analyst helps ensure alignment with enterprise project controls standards, supporting disciplined execution across cost, schedule, and technical performance. The role is responsible for maintaining dashboards and generating regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), integrating EPU metrics with broader project execution data to deliver actionable insights for project teams and leadership. The analyst supports the development of accurate cost models, tracks schedule performance, and ensures data integrity across estimating and reporting data sources / systems. In coordination with the PMO, the position assists in preparing executive-level and external stakeholder presentations, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with governance requirements for high-visibility project deliverables.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Support development and maintenance of project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for EPU project and associated major modification projects
Assist in tracking project performance against baseline metrics, including costs, schedule, and resource utilization
Prepare and update PowerPoint presentations, Excel workbooks / models, and dashboards for project reviews, governance meetings, and executive and stakeholder briefings
Maintain budgets, schedules and risk registries for the overall EPU project
Develop / utilize tools and processes to coordinate cost tracking and reporting via KPIs / project analytics
Compile, validate, and analyze project data from multiple sources to generate timely and accurate reports
Maintain standardized templates and processes for project documentation, status reporting, and KPI tracking
Occasionally perform ad hoc analysis on project risks, variances, and trends to support proactive management intervention
Support administrative tasks, including meeting coordination, deliverable review, action item tracking, and document control
Ensure compliance with internal controls, project governance standards, and documentation requirements
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or other related analytical discipline
2+ years' experience in analytics or finance ( within the generation business is preferred )
Strong ability to analyze data, summarize and communicate/present effectively, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills and ability to cross-functionally collaborate across teams / disciplines
Ability to learn and leverage source system tools (e.g., Maximo, SAP S4, etc.)

Schedule – On-time completion of deliverables and reporting to support project timelines
Stakeholders – Clear, accurate reporting that builds executive and 3rd-party partners’ confidence
Contribution to cost / schedule avoidance or efficiency gains through insightful analytics / critical thought
Support of EPU project milestones achieved on schedule and within budget tolerance
Respond to ad hoc requests on a timely manner
