Job Title: Packer Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for packing lip balm and other personal care and pharmaceutical products into boxes, ensuring accurate counts and quality checks. The position requires attention to detail to verify correct labeling, absence of bubbles, accurate expiration dates, and no misprints. This is a fast-paced role that involves standing for the entire shift, and the ability to maintain the pace is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Pack personal care and pharmaceutical products into boxes.

  • Count and verify correct amounts before packing.

  • Weigh boxes to ensure accurate counts for certain product lines.

  • Conduct quality checks to confirm correct labeling and absence of bubbles.

  • Verify expiration dates and ensure no misprints are present.

  • Maintain a consistent pace to keep up with the production line.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in packing, production, and packaging.

  • Ability to perform general labor tasks including picking, loading, and unloading.

  • Skills in palletizing, stacking, inspecting, and labeling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a packer is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is located at our manufacturing site, which also serves as the corporate headquarters. The environment is very fast-paced, and you will be standing for the entire shift. Employees are provided with a locker on the first day, and all personal items must be stored there. You may carry a clear bag with a calculator, knife, swipe card, and pen. The third shift offers a quieter atmosphere with a smaller team that works independently under the guidance of a supervisor.

This is a Contract position based out of Oak Brook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.19 - $19.34/hr.
