We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Program Manager within our Program team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? That’s right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As a Program Manager, you will lead our cross-functional and international project teams to ensure the project targets for the assigned projects. Furthermore the Program Manager manages synergies and dependencies of projects and changes that belong to the same program.
As a Program Manager, you will:
Lead the interdisciplinary project team, ensure good collaboration and the focus on the project targets
Create, communicat and update project planning (milestones, deliverables, cost). Track and communicate status of
projects (progress, risks, issues, impacts, profitability)
- Start, support and follow up escalations in case that project targets get in danger. Drive solutions and decisions to
ensure success of the program
Provide input on sales prices for design changes, provide input on IC sales prices updates
Ensure that we follow the APQP and customer specific processes whithin our programs. Be key contact for our
customer during the Program
Manage Engineering Changes and VAVEs in collaboration with the Launch Manager
Leading a Safety-first approach maintaining a zero accident culture. Ensure and monitor work, accident prevention
and safe working environment across the business
- Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by
the business
To be successful, you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other equivalent
Minimum 5 years of job experience in an industrial environment
Experience working in the Automotive industry
3-5 years of project experience
Ability to work within cross-funtional teams
Ability to lead by convincing
Effective problem-solving abilities
Strong target-orientation and planning skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to show attention to detail whilst maintaining a view on the big picture
Optimistic and engaging approach
Strong skills in process management
Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
Strong ability to execute on time and budget
