Senior Logistics & Traffic Coordinator – R&D
This role supports Clarios’ R&D operations by ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-integrity logistics processes for prototype materials and advanced electronic systems. As a Senior Logistics & Traffic Coordinator , you will enable the seamless global movement of automotive electronics and R&D builds, directly contributing to innovation speed and engineering execution.
You will act as a critical link between Engineering, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, and external partners to ensure materials flow smoothly across international borders while meeting strict regulatory and quality standards.
What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
Global Logistics & Transportation Management
Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities supporting R&D programs across multiple regions
Manage international material flows primarily between USA–Mexico and Mexico–Europe (Germany and Romania)
Support logistics flows into Milwaukee, USA for engineering builds and prototype replenishment
Plan and execute domestic and international shipments, including urgent, high-priority, and specialized freight
Trade Compliance & Regulatory Excellence
Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and Clarios policies
Manage temporary imports, customs documentation, and broker interactions for import/export execution
Maintain accuracy of HS classifications, Incoterms, and export control requirements
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to customs delays, regulatory changes, and IP exposure
R&D Material Flow & Prototype Coordination
Coordinate prototype and material handling between R&D Mexico, external assembly vendors, and global suppliers
Support prototype builds through kitting, BOM validation, labeling, and version control processes
Ensure proper handling of sensitive electronic assemblies, including ESD-safe and environmentally controlled storage
Inventory Control & Traceability
Maintain material traceability and inventory accuracy through ERP system transactions and controls
Ensure alignment between physical and system inventory for R&D materials
Support documentation and audit readiness for all logistics and inventory processes
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
Coordinate warehousing, packaging, ASN creation, and OEM-specific logistics requirements
Support CAPEX/OPEX logistics activities including equipment imports, calibration flows, and transfers
Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement in logistics workflows and infrastructure
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve efficiency and execution

Efficient handling of complex, time-sensitive prototype and electronics shipments

What You Bring (Qualifications)
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in logistics operations within automotive, electronics, or manufacturing environments
Solid understanding of automotive electronic systems, PCB assemblies, or electronics manufacturing flows
Experience managing international logistics flows, particularly between USA, Mexico, and Europe
Knowledge of IMMEX, Annex 24/31, HS codes, customs procedures, and export control regulations
Experience with ERP systems and inventory management in technical or manufacturing settings
Familiarity with ESD handling, prototype logistics, and electronics packaging standards
Preferred
Experience supporting R&D or prototype-driven environments
Familiarity with OEM logistics requirements and ASN processes
Experience managing dangerous goods or specialized shipments
Exposure to global supplier and contract manufacturer coordination
Work Model & Travel
Location: Mexico (on-site or hybrid aligned with R&D operations)
Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support cross-site coordination, suppliers, or global R&D activities
