Job Summary
Perform engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with validation activities such as IQ/OQ/PQ testing for new mold tools or equipment
Measure parts, perform functional testing, perform data analysis, and write qualification report
5S Production Floor
Tape out area using 5S principles for proper flow and safety in production.
Set up new conveyor systems for use in production.
Determine ways to reduce conversion costs
Organize WIP and Finished Goods areas
Check 2D and 3D engineering drawings to ensure compliance to Nordson standards. Verify with molded parts that drawings are correct
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
Prepare and update work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation.
Develop Bill of Materials and manufacturing routings
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
Must be currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in an engineering field
Skills and Abilities
• Proficient in 3D CAD Design software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP and IQMS preferred)
• Willing to be hands on in the manufacturing facility
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Self-Motivated and the ability to multitask
