Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with all environmental and workplace standards. Reporting directly to the President, you will serve as the primary architect of a safe working environment across all company divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA) and manage all necessary reporting to management and regulatory agencies.
  • Policy & Audit Management: Develop, maintain, and audit EHS policies to ensure they meet evolving industry standards.
  • Risk Mitigation: Analyze work processes to identify hazards, implement control strategies, and investigate any incidents or "near misses" to determine root causes.
  • Training & Culture: Deliver ongoing EHS training programs, including new hire orientations, and foster a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Emergency Readiness: Develop emergency response plans and lead regular drills to ensure employee readiness.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in EHS leadership roles; strong preference for candidates from manufacturing or industrial backgrounds.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations and professional certifications (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Requirements & Travel

  • Environment: Ability to navigate both office and shop floor environments, which may include sitting, standing, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Travel: Flexibility for occasional travel to support various company divisions.
