Summary:

Operates Cogeneration plant and related equipment. Accountable and responsible for the timely completion of work order assignments and preventative maintenance. Assists the Supervisor and or Director in the planning, coordination, and execution of all duties related to the hospital, and all other work as assigned.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of systems - Gas Turbine Skid, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Auxiliary Boilers, Nox Water Skid, Boiler Feed Water System, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring System. Executes PM tasks correctly and efficiently. Anticipates potential problems and takes action. Develops insights for more efficient operation. Servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operates primarily, but not limited to, on the basis of mechanical principles.

Performing day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.Documenting/Recording information; entering transcribing, recording, storing or maintaining information in writing or electronic form using computers and computer systems. Evaluating information to determine compliance with standards using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. Scheduling, overseeing, and assisting in all contracted work in the Power Plant.

Demonstrates competency in chemical treatment. Recognizes and reports changes in chemistry. Handles testing and transportation safely. Follows instructions thoroughly and accurately.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of ladder safety. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of electrical safety. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of "lock-out-tag-out" procedures. Anticipates unsafe situations or conditions and takes preventative actions.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of experience. Thorough knowledge of plant systems and sub-systems. Boiler plant and machinery operating experience.Oe2, S1, or S2 license. Must be able to climb ladders.

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

Salary Range: $29.65 - $55.55 Hourly
