About the Role
We are building a modern, enterprise-grade e-commerce platform powered by a custom frontend and a scalable commerce backend. We are seeking a Senior Principal Product Manager to lead the definition and delivery of a next-generation digital commerce experience.
This is a foundational role with end-to-end ownership of the commerce product — from roadmap and customer experience through detailed requirements and launch execution.
You will work at the center of a cross-functional team including engineering, UX, merchandising, marketing, and operations to build a high-performance commerce platform designed for long-term scale.
This role is ideal for a product leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has experience delivering complex digital platforms in Agile environments.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Product Ownership
Own the e-commerce product roadmap and priorities
Define MVP scope and phased releases
Translate business objectives into product initiatives
Balance customer experience, technical constraints, and business goals
Drive alignment across stakeholders
Make clear product decisions and tradeoffs
Platform Definition
Define the core capabilities of the commerce platform including:
Customer journeys and shopping flows
Navigation and discovery
Product detail experience
Cart and checkout
Promotions and pricing
Customer accounts
Order lifecycle
You will partner closely with engineering and UX teams to shape a scalable platform architecture.
Requirements & Delivery
Own and maintain the product backlog
Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
Define business rules and workflows
Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning
Clarify requirements for engineering teams
Ensure work is ready for development
Support delivery through active engagement
You will operate as both Product Manager and Business Analyst, ensuring clarity and momentum throughout delivery.
Headless Commerce Experience
Work closely with engineering teams building a modern commerce architecture including:
Custom frontend applications
API-driven integrations
Commerce backend configuration
Order and fulfillment workflows
Payment integrations
Inventory and availability
Experience working in headless or composable commerce environments is strongly preferred.
Customer Experience Leadership
Partner with UX designers to create intuitive shopping experiences
Define customer journeys and interaction models
Ensure mobile-first design principles
Advocate for usability and conversion
Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience
Strong UX intuition is essential.
Data-Driven Product Management
Define success metrics for product initiatives
Use data to inform prioritization and decisions
Analyze funnels and customer behavior
Identify optimization opportunities
Support experimentation and testing
You should be comfortable using data to guide decisions.
Launch & Testing Support
Define acceptance criteria for features
Support development of test scenarios
Participate in user acceptance testing
Validate business workflows
Support release readiness
You will play a key role in ensuring successful platform launch.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Nice to Haves:
5–8+ years of product management or business analysis experience
Significant experience in e-commerce or digital commerce
Experience delivering complex digital products
Experience working in Agile development environments
Experience writing detailed product requirements
Experience working closely with engineering teams
Strong understanding of e-commerce customer journeys
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience with headless commerce platforms
Experience with enterprise commerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce
Experience working with React-based frontends
Experience defining API-driven integrations
Experience launching e-commerce platforms
Experience mapping complex business workflows
Experience working on platform rebuilds or major implementations
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$160,000.00 - $240,000.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
