Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our RN Transition Fellow, you will provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, adhering to individual needs, physician orders, Hospital policy, and nursing standards. You will also assume responsibility for directing and coordinating care team members, focusing on individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational values.
Every day, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to implement comprehensive patient care plans and participate in direct patient care activities, including assessment, medication administration, documentation, and patient education across diverse patient populations.
To be successful in this vital role, you will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and apply new knowledge, showing initiative in developing increasing skills and confidence. You will exhibit strong foundational nursing knowledge, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Adheres to established Hospital/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, Nurse Practices Act and Patient's Bill of Rights.
Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by regularly planning and evaluating the care of patients.
Establishes and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, patient family members, and the public as appropriate, while assuring confidentiality of all patient information.
Demonstrates effective nursing judgement and a working knowledge of the nursing process.
Provides guidance to interdisciplinary team members by supervising nursing interventions and assisting with related tasks.
Provides leadership by establishing priorities and coordinating nursing care.
Job Requirements
Required
Successful completion of an accredited/approved Nursing program and Minimum one (1) year current acute care registered nursing experience in specialty area, upon hire and
Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire and
Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 Days and
Fire Safety, within 90 Days and
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months and
Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months and
Preferred
Experience with EHR (Cerner, MediTech, etc)
Mobile Intensive Care Nurse, upon hire
