Hospice Aide (CHHA)| Hiring Event – Northfield, NJ

Heartland Hospice of Northfield, NJ is growing—and we’re looking for compassionate Full-Time Hospice Aides (CHHA) to join our team!

Make a difference where it matters most

Provide personalized, hands-on care to hospice patients and support their families—wherever they call home.

Qualifications:

  • Active NJ CHHA certification (required)

  • Compassion for end-of-life care

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable transportation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities

  • Support patients with dignity, comfort, and compassion

  • Observe and report changes in patient condition

  • Collaborate with the hospice care team

About You

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

  • Active CHHA license in the state of employment (Required)

  • Current CPR certification (Required)

  • Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required)

  • Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required)

  • Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments

  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and ability to handle emotional situations

  • Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs

Preferred Background (Not Required):

  • Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology

  • Prior roles in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes

  • Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support
