We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and processing payroll for over 2000 employees across the United States. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to meet strict deadlines, and the capacity to handle complex payroll situations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Process and submit payroll within Workday for a diverse workforce, including full-time, hourly-union, and non-exempt employees.
Reconcile bi-weekly and weekly payroll reports in compliance with internal controls and audit processes.
Ensure accurate and timely transmission of payroll for various employee populations.
Manage employee payroll data, including tax withholdings, deductions, and timesheet data.
Prepare vendor payments and process wage garnishments, retro adjustments, and imputed income payments.
Audit system-generated transaction reports for accuracy and compliance with policies.
Manage expat payroll entries for both home and host countries.
Handle stock, dividend, and non-qualified retirement payments, including related tax filing requirements.
Ensure timely payment of federal, state, and local withholding and unemployment taxes.
Perform quarterly duties such as Multiple Worksite reporting and balancing quarterly filings.
Reconcile annual W-2 Forms and process taxable fringe benefits and relocation expenses.
Research and resolve payroll inquiries, advising HR and management of necessary escalations.
Provide customer support to outsourced vendors and employees.
Act as a liaison between the payroll department and other departments for payroll system implementations and troubleshooting.
Stay current on payroll regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide excellent customer service and meet recurring deadlines.
Essential Skills
At least 7 years of recent payroll processing experience.
Proficiency in Workday is required.
Strong understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Familiarity with timekeeping, payroll, and salary methods, including FLSA laws.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks.
Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Effective communication skills.
Reliability and dependability in fulfilling obligations.
Dynamic and positive attitude supporting a collaborative work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
Experience with implementation/system conversion is advantageous.
Tax filing experience, particularly with ADP.
Canadian payroll experience is considered a plus.
Work Environment
Initially, the role is fully onsite until the consultant and leadership are comfortable with transitioning to a hybrid model. During payroll weeks, work is required in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with remote work on Thursday and Friday. On non-payroll weeks, two days in the office are required, with flexible scheduling. The work environment is supportive and diverse, featuring a fun and outgoing team with various backgrounds. The team values work ethic and collaboration. Flexible start times between 7-9am are offered, with a requirement to remain until at least 4pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
