Purpose & Scope

This role leads the analytics requirements and adoption, orchestration, operational excellence of the US Field Medical organization by designing and optimizing compliant MSL engagement journeys, strengthening internal communication and information flow, and ensuring a scalable framework for continuous feedback and improvement. It oversees the operational infrastructure that supports field medical teams—including SharePoint management, communication processes, and stakeholder input channels—ensuring consistent execution and alignment. Additionally, the role serves as the primary analytics superuser, transforming user needs into actionable system requirements, driving adoption of key dashboards and tools, and enabling field teams through training and guidance to elevate the impact of scientific engagement.

Role and Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for:

  1. Analytics Superuser & Adoption Lead
  • Serve as the primary business superuser for field medical analytics platforms, translating user needs into actionable requirements and liaising with analytics delivery teams, enabling field teams through training and playbooks, and driving adoption of key dashboards and tools.
  1. Field Medical Orchestration & Enablement
  • Partner with platform owners to configure and operationalize compliant field medical omnichannel journeys, create channel playbooks, optimize user experience, and support test and learn cycles across email, virtual, and in person channels.
  1. Operational effectiveness and execution
  • Develops and maintains the FME Sharepoint site, coordinate and communicate all relevant information to field teams, and creating a operational framework to receive and implement feedback from stakeholders (including surveys, forums, etc.)

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, data science, computer science, business analytics, or a closely related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, witha significant portion in Medical Affairs, strategic insights, or analytics roles.

  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging analytics and data to generate actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making within a healthcare context.

  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and/or implementing customer (HCP) journey frameworks or engagement strategies.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving initiatives from strategy development through successful execution.

Technical Skills:

  • Direct experience with Medical Affairs technology platforms and Veeva eco-systems (e.g., Veeva CRM, Veeva Link Insights).

  • Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik) to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot).

Soft Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex scientific and analytical data into clear, concise, and actionable strategic recommendations for diverse stakeholders, including leadership.

  • Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively across functions (e.g., Medical Affairs, Brand Teams, IT), and influence without direct authority.

  • Leadership & Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, prioritize effectively, manage timelines, and achieve strategic objectives.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and critical problem-solver, adept at identifying challenges, analyzing root causes, and developing innovative solutions.

  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of healthcare professional (HCP) needs and engagement dynamics, with a commitment to enhancing customer value.

Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry landscape, regulatory requirements relevant to Medical Affairs, and ethical guidelines for scientific exchange.

  • Solid knowledge of scientific data interpretation and effective communication of medical/scientific information.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MBA, Master in Data Science, or a related scientific discipline).

Experience:

  • Experience with the development and delivery of training programs or resources for field-based teams.

  • Prior experience working in or closely with a brand team to inform medical strategy.

  • Experience in the application of AI/Machine Learning techniques for predictive analytics, content personalization, or insights generation within a healthcare context.

  • This position is based in Northbrook, IL. Remote work from anywhere in the US is available.

Salary Range

$125,090-178,700 (Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and organizational equity considerations)
